Tony Mullen shares an update on his project "Electric Town".

Hi everybody,
As some of you might remember from a Blendernation post last summer I've been working on a short movie called "Electric Town", a live-action/CG production that will use Blender for all 3D content and special effects and probably most if not all compositing and video editing. Since then, I've made a lot of progress, including some false starts and re-thinks. Ever since then I've been documenting the process on a fairly regular basis (about once a month, but that will surely increase as we get closer to the production itself) on the project blog.
I'm still sort of getting personnel and whatnot organized, so I haven't blogged a lot about that, but I'm definitely excited to say that there are a handful of extremely talented people who are already involved in helping out. I'm really looking forward to what we will be able to create once things get rolling.
The goal at present is to get the primary shooting done in late August or early September. In the meantime there's a lot to do in terms of pre-production. Casting, location scouting, and other planning has really only just begun. At the moment, I'm financing the movie out of my pocket. If it looks like it will go over what I can afford, I'll look into crowd funding, but I won't do this until I already have something significant and impressive to show.
Anybody who's interested in getting up to speed with the project, please check out the blog! You can also follow me on Twitter at @_tonymullen.

Thanks for the post, Blendernation! Somebody pointed out to me that the "transformer substation spotters" link was behaving strangely and in some cases downloading something called "spamfighter.exe". I have no idea how this happened, because the actual wepbage being linked to is just a plain HTML page and definitely doesn't seem to be doing anything suspicious. Anyway, I disabled the link and put the URL into plain text on the post. Sorry if anybody got a weird download!
Quick silly question, after purchase is there a download link to download the dvd directly to your pc, or is it shipped? Cause I prefer just getting a link to download it directly?????
Sorry about my previous post, seems I posted in the wrong section
