I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

Kindof surprising theres no addon or something to automate something like this based on a curve or grease pencil stroke; i'm sure stuff like this can be done in other software very quickly, you see the folding effect used alot in motion graphics and broadcast graphics, it's probably juse modifier plugins  and vertex colors or something there

  2. Talk about timely.  I was just watching the intro to the TV show "The Community" and was wondering how to do paper folding in Blender.  Thanks for sharing this!
