Forensic reconstruction with Blender and free software

5

Here's a topic we don't see every day: forensic 3d reconstruction of faces. Cícero Moraes shows you how to achieve this using only free software.

Cícero writes:

I wrote an article about forensic reconstruction. I used only Linux and free software. I would like you post like a news. The article is in portuguese, but have a log of images that make easy to understand how the process works.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.
