It's cool, like the angle and composition. The high amount of defocus makes it look a bit lie a toy, but I don't really mind, that looks cool to.

awesome. I'd like to see a texturing tutorial on this since it has so many different material types. Anyone know of a good texturing tutorial for a similar type of character?

Indeed, I usually don't care much for replicating other peoples work. But quite frankly this is very well done, and it really has a sense of personal style that i find quite intriguing. Work well done!
