Thanks! But how can I make a box that falls on the surface and then breaks? In this tutorial the box is hanging in the air and not falls.

Thanks, but I've already seen this tutorial. There's no information how to make a box (or a cup) that falls on the floor and then breaks by itself.
But I already invented how to do this. :) Just drop a whole cup, let fall. Hide the cup when it touches the floor. And show the shards created by Fracture Tools in the next frame. :)

The answer to your question is in the last 45 seconds or so of the tutorial. You can record the game action and then play it back/ render it as an animation.

I am so going to use this.
Just a quick tip: Most simulations I see baked from the game engine seem to be in slow motion. Back in the 2.4x days when you could bake without running it in real time it scaled to the proper frame rate, but using the default settings and pressing p seems to put it in slow motion.
One way I've found to remedy that is by going into the world settings and changing the FPS under the physics tab to the frame rate of your animation. Obviously this works best with integer frame rates, as entering a float in the world settings will round to the nearest integer. You'll need to adjust the substeps value (0 - 5) in order to deal with collision artifacts.
Game engine is recording I think in 30fps, so everything looks slow mo
