I updated my Demo Reel and was hoping I could get it posted on the site. It is all Blender and I also used it for the 3d elements in an upcoming independent Static Shock film.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. nice 3d work indeed! Also, opening logo was very cool!
(Music - If this is an original piece, well done. My only suggestion is to balance the drums..center the sidestick @ the very least. For people with decent speakers, it can cause an "off-balance" feeling, although they may not be able to put there finger on it..and it also may give a slightly less professional feel. If i didn't think you had some really cool 3d work I wouldn't bother. Just a friendly observation....and an opinion. Thanks for sharing, I enjoy your work!  :) )

  2. Not sure about the "It is all Blender" quote - its a little misleading as the end of the reel says software used: Blender, AE, ZBrush, Mudbox.
That said there is some good work here, some of the Interior shots could be a little brighter but overall very good.
    p.s Excellent characters.

  3. Good stuff, thought the interiors were a bit dull cos you seem to be relying on "natural" lighting, but apart from that minor criticism your work looks solid. I would not have included the "static shock" stuff as that doesn't really seem to be related, unless you include a shot break down to show what you did for those shots.
