I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

Wow, that's some pretty shitty topology right there. No crotch and extra geometry for elbows, knees, fingers or anything. It'd be impossible to animate this.
Relax dude... Thats obviously just a base mesh. What would you expect in under 30min?
Nosslak: Yep in part 2 the subdivisions really begin to prepare for animation, I can assure you it came out great and will be online soon.
