  1. This has a really surreal and beautiful feel to it. Very well done. The music really made the beast. It felt similar to Coraline but with it's own flow and flavor. Great work.

  2. Thanks for the feedback. About a tutorial, I think there's a lot of wonderful modelling tutorial on the Net, and my modeling skills aren't good enough. The character is very simple. About  soft body simulations, there's none, is all keyframed animation. Flatland is a masterpiece, and is one of my inspirations, with Sophie's World ( O Mundo de Sofia in portuguese).

  3. "OH! And I love Debian/Linux."

Great thing that you are able to utilize uncommon tools to realize your vision.

Next: Get over it. Art is not about tools or acceptance. And judging by the level of your work you should already know this so why make it an issue worth of a double post?

  4. Belo kit de ferramentas, a camiseta foi uma boa idéia.
Mantenha o bom trabalho! Quem sabe o seu trabalho pode ser levado em consideração no próximo open movie?

Nice set of tools, the  T-shirt was a good idea.
Keep up you good work! who knows you work can be carry in consideration on the next open movie?

  5. Brilliant short piece! And at least for me it is important to know that it made with debian/linux. I work with linux mint and sometimes I have a tough time convincing my colleagues (at the art school where I work) and students about linux as an art making platform. Increasingly well done short animations will just make open-source as likely an option as mac or windows for animation students and - eventually - professionals.
Loved how the concept, the music and the rhythm of the animation all blend so seamlessly.

  6. Hi,

@Guest:twitter , you are right that art isn't about the tools. Though perhaps you should tell this to the guys of Apple, Adobe, Autodesk and so, too. From my point of view, free software is a commitment that costs some non strictly artistic efforts but rewards too, so I'm pleased to let know that with free software you can do the work, as long as you are willing to.

and Savio, congratulations for your work. Perhaps too slow paced at some moments, but I guess that's what you were looking for. By the way, are you using Debian Stable or Testing? only curiosity...

  7. Thanks all of You. Maybe I'll try to produce a litlle Open Movie here in Brasil. With some help, I think we can acomplish something really good.I think that art is not about the tools, but I think too that Autodesk, Adobe,Microsoft, like "ocasionnaly" to be mentioned in art projects, so....And I'm using Debian Stable with some testing repositories.
