Tom Walks posted in his YouTube channel a video in which he explains the composite node setup he used in the following movie to generate the animated camera noise effect. In addition, he also provides the original blend file for this movie which everybody can download and use while following is lecturing about the process he. The video is very detailed and provides a great depth of knowledge thanks to also YouTubes 720p resolution.

I needed some ideas on making a portion of my animation as from "memory", and this tutorial gave me some ideas. Thanks!
Very Great tutorial and some very interesting ideas! thanks for that.
If I can dare a little critic however, I just have a concern on the curve used to make the "Rec" flash... -> I think that constant interpolation mode would be more suitable for this kind of animation.
But this is not really the subject, just a small detail :-)
I would be so very cool to have node groups ( http://code.blender.org/index.php/2011/01/how-node-groups-can-be-made-useful/ ) of these types of effects setup for various real world low quality cameras (i.e. CCV security camera, mobile phone camera, typical handycam types, etc.)
I hadn't see that 'Space Oddity' movie before I saw this video, it 's fantastic! And made with Blender!
Megaupload? Really?
Can someone upload the file to filesonic.com? My country block MegaUpload and many other.

I've put it up on my dropbox, I'll leave it there but someone should upload it to a more permanent hoster.

There must be some virus in the system that jumbles the words of some posts...
I'm sort of making sense of these sentences, but that's not much fun.
Thank you. I'm downloading both youtube video and the file currently.
