Blender3dArchitect features a good videotutorial on sculpture rendering with Blender and Yafaray.
Here is another great tutorial for anyone looking to start using YafaRay with Blender 2.5 for architectural visualization. In this two-part tutorial, an artist called StugysTomas creates a wooden sculpture in Blender and renders the scene with YafaRay. The sculpture is pretty simple, but since the project uses a studio setup for the render, it may be useful for product presentation or furniture visualization. It is a good way to get started with YafaRay.

no it explode ypur pc and eat and erase yout hdd :) joke afcorse it is stable, I have no problem using it, download from graphicall.org becaus its easyer.

LOL ! it was my first experience with external renderer and I liked it but when 2.5 came Yafaray was not compatible, so I looked for another renderer and after a while, I found Luxrender, both are good but seems that Luxrender has a faster development !
One thing is sure, for open source projects, they have a great logo ! :D
LOL! c'était ma première expérience avec moteur de rendu externe et j'ai aimé cela, mais quand est venu Yafaray 2.5 n'était pas compatible, alors j'ai regardé pour un autre moteur de rendu et après un moment, j'ai trouvé Luxrender, les deux sont bons, mais il semble que les Luxrender a un développement plus rapide! Une chose est sûre, pour les projets open source, ils ont un grand logo! : D
Grab a Yafaray build from Graphicall, they work great! I especially love the speedy SPPM, which I haven’t been able to get working with Lux yet.

i’ve used the graphicall builds and had no problems!

Regarding security on Graphicall website, I think that it is pretty easy to introduce a wormed blender version (unless there is a control on binaries delivered, I don’t know…). However, I have never seen any corrupted binary, and I think that if somebody tried to do so, he would be pointed out and probably banned very quickly… These are only asumptions…

Je n'ai pas su qu'il y avait un moyen d'utiliser yafaray avec Blender 2.5, donc merci pour cette Heimlich :-) @ Matt: En ce qui concerne la sécurité sur le site Graphicall, je pense qu'il est assez facile d'introduire une version vermifugés blender (sauf s'il ya un contrôle sur les binaires livrés, je ne sais pas …). Cependant, je n'ai jamais vu de binaire corrompu, et je pense que si quelqu'un a essayé de le faire, il serait indiqué et probablement interdits très vite … Ce ne sont que asumptions …
I was interesting in the lighting … but he just appends it from another blend file -.-
Can someone help me with that? Didn’t find a useful yafray tutorial for these kind of “highkey” lightings.

Haven’t used YafaRay in a long long time so this will be a good re-introduction to this rendering application.

I think this speaks for its self as to whether graphicall is untrusted :)
N'ont pas utilisé YafaRay dans un long temps ce sera donc une bonne réintroduction de cette demande de rendu. Wow, je n'ai jamais pensé que je verrais le jour où Graphicall a été décrit comme non fiables! Thats lol fait vraiment drôle attentive Tom, je vous salue pour me faire sourire!
