Blender user wins 11 Second Club
The 11 Second Club is a popular competition forum where character animators compete each month by creating an animation to a short audio clip that is set by the site owners and this audio clip is usually dialog from a film or TV show. The winning entry is decided upon by the forum members voting marks out of ten for all the entries. The prize is an eCritque by one of Animation Mentor’s tutors and of course, the kudos and respect from all your fellow animator peers.
Hjalti is a self taught character animator from Iceland and this is his second entry into the competition. Well done Hjalti!

i know, not every one is english speaking, nor for that fact american… however the usage of ‘beat off’ as referring to the manner in which one successfully overcums their competition is a tad scatological… maybe submission reviewers aren’t familiar with the turn of phrase.
as to the competition, the eCritique seems a bit odd as a prize. a la ‘Here’s the winner ladies and gentlemen, now let’s take apart their winning work and see what they did inadequately/inefficiently…’ idk, maybe it actually is viewed as helpful. and it always helps to get your work out there.
Ich weiß, nicht jeder spricht Englisch, noch für die Tatsache, amerikanisch … jedoch die Nutzung von 'schlagen aus "als Bezugnahme auf die Art und Weise, in der man erfolgreich overcums ihre Konkurrenz ist ein bisschen skatologische … vielleicht Vorlage Rezensenten nicht vertraut sind mit der Wendung. als die Konkurrenz scheint das eCritique ein wenig seltsam, als Preis. a la "Hier ist der Gewinner meine Damen und Herren, jetzt wollen wir's … auseinander nehmen ihre Arbeit zu gewinnen und sehen, was sie unzureichend / ineffizient war" IDK, vielleicht ist es tatsächlich als hilfreich angesehen. und es hilft immer, um Ihre Arbeit zu bekommen gibt.

@HumanBlade, Animation Mentor Tutors are animators who work for the likes of Dreamworks, Pixar etc. If you want to improve your character animation skills… you listen to these guys, they are the best of the best. But if you see constructive criticism to be negative thing, so be it.
BTW, “scatological”, may mean something to you but it means something completely different to everyone else… the irony :)

The only thing that holds me from attending animation mentor is some tutors are “dudes” wearing a twisted baseball cap. That my friend doesn’t speak too good of any school.
Gehe Hjalti! Das einzige, was mich hält an der Teilnahme Animation Mentor ist einige Tutoren sind "Dudes" trägt eine Baseball-Kappe gedreht. Dass mein Freund spricht nicht allzu gut von der Schule.
I like to wear a shirt and tie when playing football. It makes me score more goals.
