Blender used to produce children's educational software

8

Blender was used in the production of the popular “Fill the Gap” by Magmentis Ltd. available on the Mac App Store and iPad/iPhone/iPod touch. It reached number 5 in the USA and number 4 in the UK top paid educational apps. It has received many good reviews since launch.

Andrea Torassa writes:

At first, we were using a commercial 3D package for graphics but found the rendered output not to our taste for our intended audience. The work flow was also not as efficient as we would have liked. This, coupled with our desire to use open source formats and software in our pipeline lead us to use Blender for more than half of the graphics work. We found the software to be of excellent quality, the interface easy to learn and above all, the Blender Community has produced so many high quality tutorials and other resources.

We'd like to thank all of you for such a great piece of software and such a wonderful community.
We hope in future as we have more sales and resources that we will be able to contribute back to the community in some useful way.

Well done to all of you!
