I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. It was quite a surprise to see my image here. They didn't tell me, I noticed it on twitter.
@pocax and BlenderBoy - glad you liked it
@jiggles100 - There was a little bit of correctional painting +the splash was mostly made in gimp.

  2. @Jessy : She's wearing short shorts.

I wonder if it is the angle or wutnot, but the anatomy seems a bit funky.

Great idea otherwise and a great use of Gimp and Blender. :)

  3. @kjartan I thought it might have been tricky to do the splash in blender. Really impressed though, keep up the good work and thanks for unspiring me to spend some more time blending :-)

  4. The shark looks great except for his eyes, it looks like you just plopped a plain sphere in there without any texturing.

  5. The shark looks great except for his eyes, it looks like you just plopped a plain sphere in there without any texturing. And great white sharks eyes are very dark, almost black. This one looks like he has cataracts or something. lol

  6. Cool. I personally think the shark needs some better eyes, though, and maybe a better hat and more expressive facial expression for the girl. But still, good job.

  7. I like the original image better, even if it's less well rendered. The proportions of the woman look better in the original. She doesn't look like leprechaun (or is she supposed to be a leprechaun?).
