Jonathan Williamson at Blender Cookie has finished his vehicle modelling series, which is now available for download and on DVD. The series takes you through modelling a sci-fi style vehicle using orthographic references and concept art supplied by David Revoy. Starting by blocking out, then moving to hard surface subdivision modelling and detailing the model. The series comes to 15 hours of video tutorials, and is avaliable to download for $48 or on DVD for $56.

Mmmm, looks tempting but I've got a few bills to pay at the moment.
I've got it on the pre-sale, and I will admit I am happy. Just started watching it, only a hour or two into the series, and a few tips showed up that I was totally unaware. Hope the rest is just as good. :)
Got it. Almost melted the FIOS line to my house, but I got it.
Well worth it so far. I'll have to watch the rest later, but wanted to get it before the price rise, but it's still worth it at $48.
On a side note Bart, I see this post available in Chinese and German. I just found the other day one can translate any page
by going to Google, click on 'More' and the top menu, and third one down is 'Translate'. You can translate any page through Google's Star Trek interpreter engine. (but I'm sure they'll tell you they didn't get it from Star Trek).
Wish I had the money to buy thissss... :(
Though Google translate is.. ok, it still has many many bugs. That is why there is a large team of translators here.
I'm Polish and the translations google gives you is at best 60% of being understandable. And Chinese at 15% (if that).
We are still a few decades off from having Star Trek level translators.
Wow! Congrats on the new series Jonathan!
An amazing amount of work has gone into this one, the detail is fantastic. I'm sure with your training experience it'll be great to hear directly from you how it was made and the steps you took.
After doing characters and environments for so long, I'm really keen to do some modern/futuristic vehicles and spaceship models. Will be picking this up come payday =)
