The Internet 3D Database

5

A new 3d related website has been released recently. It's the Internet 3D Database, also known as I3DDB. It features a large and growing library of 3d related data and websites. The site's well organized collection includes information about 3d artists, movies, software, plug-ins, studios, developers, galleries, reels, trailers and much more.

Blender and Sintel are listed under the “software” and “short film” categories respectively. It runs with the help of the web site's users, and you can even submit your own artwork or demo reel to the gallery.

  1. Great to see Blender listed along with other softwares and works from the industry. My only concern is that the pages that are linked on the blender software page seem to be somewhat out of date.

  2. Nice, but there should be a nice rendering as background image for the blender logo.
People new to 3d-business could think about blender as an inferior alternative to the commercial packages.

  3. Good to see blender up there, but wow, like carlinhos mentioned, I would not want to even click on the image link because it doesn't look as awesome as the others. We should have a product box image like the others...or at least something better than what is up there...
