Endi commented on the new 64bit render performance of Blender with his short film "A Very Little Warrior" noting that the despite the 8k format the render time was dramatically shorter than with previous Blender versions.
On PC with some quad cores, this rendering took around 2 minutes only.
In addition as a reminder on his website he also has a "Making Of" illustrating the workflow he used for this movie from modeling to post-production.

Endi,
Great artist you are. Respect in what you have reached these days. Love to watch the movie again.
Great work, but Comic Sans? Really?
It's so Polished. And nice job on "The making!"
I think the compositing node tree can be tuned to the high resolution in a few steps.
found it very helpful, nice, and interesting thanks for sharing, keep it up!!
Still as stunning as when first viewed...
I love the juicy level of saturation/color here.
Thanks for making your website guide, the approach to the leaves is helpful for making larger scenes happen, and I know the composting info will come in handy later down the road...
I CANT FIND THIS TUTORIAL . Anybody know to do this? i am wondering about the nodes for the plants and leaves along with an atmosphere that seems to be like the plants .
