BlenderNation Launches Localised Sites
The Blender community isn’t limited to English-speaking people – far from it, it fact. I’ve felt the need to launch localised versions of BlenderNation for a long time. When Deniskaab contacted me a few weeks ago with the offer to translate our news, it was time to start the project. As a result of his work, you can now also read (most of the) BlenderNation news in Russian!

yamyam over at blender.jp has been translating much of the major Blender news into Japanese for some time now. You might want to contact him and see what might be possible.

those were the guys that invented the russian alphabet, instead of using the ISO Latin Characterset.

Good Idea to translate this site into different languages. But i see one flaw: The communication between blenderheads from different countries will decrease. Ofcourse all people have different opinions but I think that the country where you come from gives cultural influences on your opinion. I’m not sure if the localised websites share the same commentsection but perhaps it’s something to think about :)
Gute Idee, übersetzen diese Website in verschiedene Sprachen. Aber ich sehe einen Schönheitsfehler: Die Kommunikation zwischen Blenderheads aus verschiedenen Ländern zu verringern. Natürlich alle Menschen haben unterschiedliche Meinungen, aber ich denke, dass das Land, woher Sie kommen kulturelle Einflüsse auf Ihre Meinung gibt. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob die lokalisierte Websites den gleichen commentsection teilen, aber vielleicht ist es etwas zu denken:)

I’m not sure this is a good thing. This means information and knowledge between users of these communities will get split up.

Ich bin mir nicht sicher, dass dies eine gute Sache. Dies bedeutet, Informationen und Wissen zwischen den Nutzern dieser Gemeinden werden aufgeteilt bekommen. Nur ein Gedanke aber.

I disagree. for one thing, it sounds like this will be mainly translating the main articles into the language of choice. I think it will mainly attract new people, and for those in the community already who’s main language is not english it will give them a place to envite their friends to come check out. We already have other language communities, but as far as the english sites go Blendernation has always been the first stop for information for me, and I hope that this will make blendernation the first stop in other languages as well

Ich würde freiwillig zu helfen, zu übersetzen, aber ich bin noch in der Anfänger Stufen … aber ich werde versuchen, die Liebe, sie zu lesen:) @ ozfunghi: Ich bin nicht einverstanden. für eine Sache, es klingt wie das wird vor allem die Übersetzung der wichtigsten Artikel in die Sprache der Wahl. Ich denke es wird vor allem neue Einwohner anzuziehen, und für diejenigen in der Gemeinde bereits die wichtigste Sprache ist nicht Englisch ist es ihnen einen Platz, um ihre Freunde zu kommen envite Besuche. Wir haben bereits andere Sprachgemeinschaften, sondern so weit wie die Englisch-Sites führen Blendernation hat immer die erste Anlaufstelle für Informationen für mich, und ich hoffe, dies wird blendernation der ersten Haltestelle in anderen Sprachen

Actually, I had a mail from Bart for translating BN articles before, but I declined it because I think I have no time to do it with my poor ability then.
Now, my translating speed is improved, But I spent too much time for it and get tired…

I send a mail that is translation of this article and I’ll stop to post BN articles in blender.jp. Currently I’m busy to write my book, so I don’t know if I can translate BN articles in the days ahead…

Nun ist meine Übersetzung Geschwindigkeit verbessert, aber ich verbrachte viel Zeit für sie und müde … @ Bart: Ich schicke eine Mail, dass die Übersetzung dieses Artikels ist, und ich werde aufhören zu BN Artikel in blender.jp Post. Derzeit bin ich damit beschäftigt, mein Buch zu schreiben, damit ich weiß nicht, ob ich BN Artikel in den kommenden Tagen übersetzen können …
