Mikko writes:

Blender 2.55 was recently used to create media for Surftones concert "Celestial journey".

The goal of the project was to create media using only Blender. The project included a course in Kaustinen College Of Music where Blender basics were taught to 5 students in 1.5 month perioid. The final media for the concert was mixture of media made by course students and the course teacher Blender artist Mikko Saari.

Two Picturall Octo mediaservers where used to play back the media using 6 video projectors.

  5. Hi Blender fans,

    Some answers to projection questions:

We used I think near 100 video clips on the concert. Octo servers were controlled real time with Chamsys lighting console. Main screen is done with 4 projectors. 2 Projectors are used as a lighting effects. The media for the main screen had something like 3500 x 768 resolution.

Please mail us at contact(at)picturall.com or visit our web page if you want to know more about complex video projection and presentation systems.
