Seattle Blender User Group Meeting: December 4

0

Blender users in Seattle are meeting at December 4.

Topics and guests for Next Seabug: Saturday, December 4th

  • Oscar will very likely be demoing the newest game endeavor by Prophetic Sky Inc!
  • Beginner hour! This time at 12:00. If you're a n00b, we'll try and show you the basics so you don't have to wait until the end this time. What's the perfect model for splitting pros and n00bs? Share your thoughts.
  • Lee on composite nodes and photo matching!
  • Oscar on the complexities of layered subsurface scattering.
  • Alec shows off what his bro and papa have been cooking up. The children are our future!
  • Mike and Dalai will have a field report from the Blender Conference 2010?
  • Nathan Vegdahl will demonstrate new Rigify developments.
  • People seem to like the idea of a Seabug reception, so let's do it! I vote for Wann Sushi. It's a moderate walk, two blocks further than Mama's Mexican Kitchen. However, they have happy hour until 7, and you'll be shocked at the sushi log you get for $4.00! (although the HH menu's broken on their website.)

More information and reservation.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.
