Secret of Kells on critic's top 20 of 2010

Hi there,

Not sure how newsworthy this really is, but I wanted to share the fact that Salon's Andrew O'Hehir, who's generally a pretty credible movie critic, has just released his comprehensive top movies of 2010 and The Secret of Kells (made in part using Blender) is listed as number 18 (out of 164)! To put that in perspective, see that he lists Toy Story 3 way down at 59 and Despicable Me at 91.

Note: the list is being updated. At the moment it's #19

Tony continues:

Obviously, there's no accounting for taste, but O'Hehir is a good critic and his column reaches a lot of people, so this is certainly nice publicity for The Secret of Kells.

  1. I've been meaning to see this since early in the year. It's on my Netflix Instant watch. I think it's about time I give it a look this week.
Toy Story 3 is coming in the mail shortly too so it'll be interesting to compare.

That's from the comments on an earlier BN article, here:
‘The Secret of Kells’ nominated for an Oscar!

Great movie! And it's great that it's finally available in the States!
