I just visited Zhong guan cun, an area in Beijing consisting of incredibly large electronic stores. In the flatscreen corner of one of these buildings I sighted Big Buck Bunny being shown continuously and at full length on twelve rather large and really underpriced flatscreens! On all other screens something alwfull like Chineese pop music video's or just bouncing DVD or Blu-Ray logo's was showing so it really stood out! There was even some audio!
It gave me such a laugh.

I remember seeing it also in the Sony Store @ Sony Center in Berlin.
Was pretty cool
I hope we can see Sintel also in more retailers, could be a great publicity for the Blender Foundation

'twelve rather large and really underpriced flatscreens'
i am looking for such
@Fred:
I don't think many people would appreciate seeing pools of blood on TVs in shops...
But we'll see!
What's really cool is that those people n the shot look like they're into watching it!
In Poland you can see it everywhere :)
At my far far away land too.
In my country, we eat Big Buck Bunny with carrots.
Makes you wanna buy!
Also saw on in a Carrefour in Beijing, on several big screens. Can't wait till Sintel hits 'em.
vidrazor2,
I doubt the photographer can confirm whether:
(a) the couple were looking at BBB intently or
(b) the couple were examining that particular TV intently
:D
