Conference & Animation Festival Announced, Open for Submission

Suzanne Awards and Blender Conference animation festival for 2010 were annouced. They are inviting film makers, artists, animators, designers or scientists to submit their works to be awarded in 3 categories,

  1. Best short film
  2. Best character animation
  3. Best designed short film

... This year's edition will end with a screening of the Open Movie project Sintel, which is excluded from the competition.

  1. Where this the same categories as last year? can't seem to remember which three there were last year.
And will sintel be in the epic 4k resolution? does the balie have those facilities? :)

Looking forward to this years conference :)

  2. "The piece has to be created entirely in Blender, and rendered in Blender or one of the free and open render systems such as Yafaray or Lux."

Does that mean that we can't edit the video with an other Video Editor software?

  3. @clecle it doesn't have to be edited in blender, also, music / sound / textures don't have to be done in blender. Basically the 3D part has to be done in blender, and rendered in a FLOSS renderer (including BI)
