17

An enjoyable little time-waster: test your Blender 2.5 knowledge with a Blender quizz. Right now there are four quizzes to take, and more will appear in the future.

Hi everybody.

I am going to make quizzes in my blog. If you want to test yourselves, join the quiz.

It's simple. Enjoy and learn!

I certainly enjoyed them! One hint to the maker though: Blender isn't 'freeware' ;-)

  1. Gah! It's timed! I'm taking my time, making sure there are no trick questions, and all of a sudden, it's over! I only had time to answer five or six questions!

    *Grumble... moving to next quiz...*

  2. would be very interesting to know the global results and modify the documentation accordingly (if everyone fails, maybe doc can be clearer or insist more on this !)

  3. 80% not bad...

The trickiest thing for me is the shortcut keys. My body remember better than my brain.

I could find the function just by hitting the right combo without thinking.

But THEN this quizz arrives and my brain is stumped because it's the finger that usually remember...

There should be these kind of quizzes more often, just so the developers can get a feedback of how popular a shortcut is...

  4. I've thought about doing this type of this for my own personal use. I haven't taken the quiz yet, but would like to see the ability to:

o As an option, order questions by general frequency of use and category (I care less about obscure shortcuts and categories that I'm not going to use immediately). I know, this varies from user to user, but... I want what I want :)

o Login so future tests can be tailored to the specific user.

o Remember which questions the user misses more frequently, so you can focus on them the next time (questions that are always answered correctly are not too useful to that particular user - it's already ingrained in their memory).

This is the kind of thing I used to do on paper in college to study for tests.

I don't use Blender every day, so memory refresh is a pretty necessary task for me.

Also, making this into a Blender game could be useful. Educational and fun at the same time! First person shooter, of course. :)

  5. Which one of the following is not true?

    Chosen answer: d)
    a) You can create scenes in Blender.
    b) Blender has got particle system.
    c) Blender is a freeware.
    d) Blender has 20 scene layers.

    Correct answer is C !!!!!!!!!!

How come, blender IS free, Im I right??
