Last night our baby girl Floortje Nina was born! We're all insanely proud and happy :)

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

    Aww! Congrats Bart. Baby girls are so sweet and special. My daughter recently had her first birthday, they grow up so quick. Never in my life have I had so little sleep, I hate diapers and the screaming can give epic headaches but I would never trade anything in the world for this. Changes your whole outlook on life. Unconditional love is a great feeling. Congrats again!

    My advice.... invest in a shotgun when she turns 13, lol!

    Congratulations to you and your wife. And welcome to the world nobody without kids will understand.
    And keep on thinking: the time of sleepless nights will end and will be substituted with the time of endless questions, substituted with the time of endless discussions, substituted with the time of endless cleaning ups, substituted .... period.
    But it'll be kind of wonderful!

    My two are 9 and 11 years old, we still have lots of wonderful moments. But you can't beat those baby / toddler years. Make the most of them.

    this is a time when things start to get better and better. First comes the "where is the sleep gone" time. But that will end. Then comes the time when these little emos start to understand the world step by step. When you look into their eyes and it becomes obvious that they realize who you are. This belongs to the most amazing moments in life.
