Wish I could be there, I used to live not to far from there.
Organize a user meeting for St Paul please!!! Anywhere much much closer than Moorhead... Midway, Eagan, Stillwater, Apple Valley, Farmington, just somewhere for the east-enders!

These aren't official Blender Foundation meetings, and they are set up by fans all around the world. If somebody wants a group meetup in their area, they organize it, and then advertise it.
If I were you, I'd start off by seeing how many people in your area would actually be interested.
For the record, I don't live anywhere near that part of the country.

I live in St. Paul and would be interested as well. I would of even considered heading to Fargo-Moorhead but I just saw this today...
Hey, I'd love to host one of my own, but considering that I lack everything necessary to do so, such as equipment, space, leadership abilities, materials, and any prior experience attending a user group for Blender or anything else so that I would even know what would be expected, I'd need a whole lot of help just figuring out what to do and how to do it at all!
Though I think I could make a good second-in-command if someone wanted to captain the venture.
it might be a little harder for me cause I live in Duluth. but I would be willing to put some effort into it. we probably don't need an entire convention center but maybe a hotel would work Ill take a look.
