I saw it at siggraph and even my blender hating 3ds max using friend thought it was awesome. Incredible work! Apart from a few rendering glitches here and there, it looks amazing. I think this will be the project that really puts blender on everyone’s radar.

Saw it at SIGGRAPH — I have complicated feelings about it, because it drew me in so thoroughly, and I empathized with the characters so strongly, that it ultimately became quite upsetting, and that feeling followed me out of the screening. I suppose that means that as filmmakers you’ve done your job! So it’s hard for me to say I “enjoyed” it — all I can really say is HOLY COW it’s quality filmmaking.

You don’t need to cry on cue to get people’s support for the film – or yourself.

From what we’ve seen, Sintel looks amazing and your contribution is AWESOME!!!!!
It’s understandable that you are emotional from missing other Sintel team members. The other team members probably feel the same, but as they can’t post an important ‘Directorial Address’ like you can, we don’t know.
And that’s a good thing. The team and you are very important – as without you we don’t have Sintel!!!
But please stick to being a director and don’t become an actor to increase the film’s fanbase or your own.
This reminds me too much of the Leave Britney Alone video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHmvkRoEowc
Something seems a little too self-serving about your video post.
If I’m mistaken, then sorry, and I hope you are getting lots of hugs.
But at the end of the day, I’d rather Sintel and Blender standout more than the director.
