YafaRay Annual Contest 2010

Prove you Yafaray skills and win!

Alvaro Luna writes:

From the 14th. of Juny till the 31st. of July, YafaRay users are encouraged to create a stunning image for our popular Annual Contest. The topic this year is Abandoned Classics.

We want people to evocatively depict remarkable objects and places not longer in use. We want classic items but showing the burden of time and use. With this exercise, we are looking forward to people using intensively YafaRay texturing capabilities to simulate weathering and volumetric capabilities to create dusty enviroments.

The prizes for the winner consist of a CG-education book or DVD and 1000 credits worth 90$ to render your works in Corefarm.

  1. I'm being picky. The tag line should say "Prove your Yafaray skills and win!" - not "you"

Such an easy typo to make! :)

  2. Is this spelling mistake city (no offense)
    Cant wait for Juny(?)
Maybe it should be Prove you to Yafaray skills and win...no doesnt make any sense...how about prove yafary to you and win..maybe xD ;)

Well if i used Yafaray i might be able to win

  3. I'm not trying to be a smart-alec or anything, but in these contests, why does the *winner* receive the CG-education book or DVD? Doesn't the winner simply prove they don't need it? Why don't they give it to the worst entry, or something?

  4. OK, I realise I'm way behind here, but what's the second 'a' stand for again? Originally it was Yafray, then Yaf(a)ray, now they've lost the brackets, what's going on?

  5. If we have a "worst render" contest that would be something in which I could participate. I have a very ugly snowman from years ago. I think I could win.
