Learn to spell, punctuate, and how to turn off your caps lock Mr. Blender. Ironic thing is, you came off stupider writing that post than all the people you were slamming in your post.
"HAPPY BLEDNING"!! ;)

Awesome tool, wish there were more tools like this in Blender? Is it going to be a part of the main SDK or a python script?
@Mr. Blender
You could tweak the interface of such automatic addons so it looks sort of confusing and complicated and everything would be fine and blenderific. Still you could take advantage of such improvements, without having blender loose its complex charme and Impressiveness :D
Blender and Capslock are cruise control for cool!
MrBlender
I believe you've confused a Blender extension for a Pixar film. Please review one of each to refresh yourself on the actual work that needs to be done to do a film or game. Have a good day.
Very nice job!! Great looking and useful Blender add-on.
@Mr. Blender Ahhhh... ha ha ha. You are way to funny. Rant on "oh mighty God of all things Blender".
Please get back to us when you have modeled each of the shapes shown in the video BY HAND in Blender. And please share with us your great "skills". BTW I hope your modeling skills are better than your spelling skills! LOL
This is exactly what tools are for. To make things easier. The creativity is in how you use the tools and what they help you produce. Heaven forbid we ever move beyond just the command line interface ;P
I saw so many different objects in this video that would be so hard to create from scratch. I liked it very much. Some of the things I saw were baskets, balls of yarn and string, drums, etc. I like it whenever something is made simpler, especially when the ability to modify parameters can still give the artist a lot of control.
This looks awesome! Picnic baskets, weaves, birds nests, ropes, rolls of tin, yarn, abstracts.. This seems like a -very- useful add-on to have and master! =)
@Mr. Blender I know what you're trying to say, but this isn't like Photoshop's 'Clouds' filter. I has endless possibilities and will make a lot of things a whole lot easier. And let's not forget, how many times do we use said Clouds as a starting point(!) for an amazing piece of art, background or texture? ;) Even something as basic as that (which is no comparison to this, really) can create beautiful things like abstract background, filler patterns or nebulas.
To say it in German: "Alter"
Couldn't the parameters have a more recognizable naming, like inner/outer radius or alike. I know math and art can have a relationship.
But useful anyway so i would remember if I need it.
Wow cool. I saw a lot of balls of yarn at that time. Cool add on. Might not be useful for all applications but wow a mighty time saver if you ever did have to.
Hey could anyone see it too? I think I see some stray strands one time or another. Is it meant to look like that?
My biggest regret is not being to contribute at that level...
Thank you whoever you are for this fantastic tool.
I so looking foward for the next Blender release...
just wow, this is amazing, so many possibilities, thanks for sharing.
@Mr blender
I know what you try to say but:
computers were invented to make things easier and faster,
and not for solving problems which you haven't had before.
Well - it looks nice. But it's completely useless for most of us. Why does coders focus on such things? Just another firework which will clutter overall image.

quite good, it may be useful
cool tool, cool shading and cool music!! ;)
wow :D
Really nice, what those new add-ons bring :)
dude!!!
that will be very helpful, indeed =D
thank you
brian
It would be great for making baskets and nest's and stuff like that. Cool!
THIS IS VERY COOL,....BUT THEN AGIAN ITS MAKING BLENDER LIKE ALL OTHER FREE
PROGRAMS TOO SIMLE LIKE ALL YOU HAVE TOO DO IS MOVE PARAMETERS AND "VIOLA"
YOU HAVE AN !!!!AUTO!!!!!MATICAL TOOLS DO THE WORK FOR YOU MAKING IT LIKE
THIS PROGRAM, MEANT FOR SEMI-SMART PEOLPE, FOR BABIES AND SOON IT WILL JUST
COLLAPSE AS ANOTHER PROGRAM WITH AVERAGE RATINGS CUS IT DOES THE AVERAGE
WORK USING AVERAGE CHEATS, WHEREAS BEFORE IT STOOD ALONE FROM MOST
PROGRAMS!!!!!
NOW, DONT TAKE ME WRONG I WILL HAVE USES FOR THIS BUT I DONT THINK THAT
BLENDER SHOULD EVER EVER EVER EVER B E A PROGRAM WHERE YOU BRING UP A BOX
THAT SAYS "HUMANS ARE IN THIS SUBCATEGORY...PLANTS IN THIS SUBCATEGORY...ECT"
BECUASE THEN BELNDER WOULD BE NOTHING IMPRESSIVE(KEYLINE)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HAPPY BLEDNING
Mr. Blender, there is something wrong with your capslock-button. It's stuck.
I don´t no what Mr.Blender´s problem is : Too much or not enough of his medicine this morning.

good job, cool music : ) )
Let's see how Shapeways handles that!! :)
Coming soon to Blender 2.5 - Automated underwater basket weaving!
In all seriousness, though, this is a pretty cool script, and I can see it having a lot of great applications for abstract renders.
Good job! I like it.
I'm with Mr Blender on this.......
Lets get blender right bac to just the line, box and circle primitives
Only Joking, Im still get off the floor laughing from READING TEH RATN!

Awesome script!
I was going to say it was Knot Bad but then I thought no, I would not stoop to such a pun laden level!
I don't know why but I can't add (instal) the script in the user preferences>add ons panel
This looks awesome! Picnic baskets, weaves, birds nests, ropes, rolls of tin, yarn, abstracts.. This seems like a -very- useful add-on to have and master! =)

@Terry LOL! xD
I am allready running with my little legs to tell it to my friends of the International Guild of Knot Tyers.

Very cool. It reminds me of knotplot. Knotplot used to be free (then I lost track)
Great job, great addition to the Blender family. Thanks.
That's pretty cool. Whoever's doing the demo should consider basket weaving. lol
Use the latest version of blender from http://www.graphicall.org and it is already installed just activate the addon.
I took version r-82987
Cool tool.
This is great. Can anyone tell me how to get the parameters menu as a pop up like in the video?
I would like to know this also...the menu thingy
I can't test atm, but I'm pretty sure for the menu you have to press F6 immediately after adding the object. Good luck! =)
Thanks Senshi, it worked!
Wow cool. I saw a lot of balls of yarn at that time. Cool add on. Might not be useful for all applications but wow a mighty time saver if you ever did have to.
Hey could anyone see it too? I think I see some stray strands one time or another. Is it meant to look like that?
How can I do same shading (with shadows and all the stuff) in ObjectMode?
Thank you Senshi your suggestion works
hai, anybody can make a rectangle curve script please
Oh my god! This is AWESOME!!!
Thank you so much for adding this to Blender!
Congratulatios! Really really, but reaaaally handy!
Good work!
Great tool! Lots of amazing possibilities, love to see it in use with the array modifiers
coooolll... cool music too... by hermeto pascoal, i guess.
"Someone" needs to use this to make a whole stack of different background baskets for the Sintel folks.
*looks around the room*
Hey... Why's everyone looking at *me*?
My biggest regret is not being to contribute at that level...
Thank you whoever you are for this fantastic tool.
I so looking foward for the next Blender release...
was it me or was Blender Fully rendering in real time? Is this the new Blender renderer? Looks like zbrush by by the way it was rendering but better.
Hey, Mr Blender, you must really hate Maya with its Copy and Paste The Lord of the Rings facility...

just wow, this is amazing, so many possibilities, thanks for sharing.
