Blender Workshops in NYC May 8th

The Blender 3D Animation Production Group - NY will be holding it's first workshop in NYC on May 8th. Hosted by Mongrel FX LLC at Simple Studios.

We are scheduling our first workshop for May 8th at 3pm. It will run for approximately 4 hours, and will cost $10 per person paid at the door (of the room we book NOT the front desk of the studio). Basically we are doing this to pay for the rental of the space and the materials we use.

The format of the workshop will be as follows:

• 30 minute meet and greet. This time will be allocated for user's to show samples of their work to the rest of the group.
• 30 minute introduction and overview of the course and our goals for the user group.
• We will show sample renders of the type of work that we will be teaching at the workshops.
• We will then break up into 2 or 3 groups to do varying levels of tutorials based on the needs of the group.

You are encouraged to bring your laptops, pens and paper (to take notes), we will make sure to have enough power strips for everyone to connect their laptop to. We will also try to provide hand outs for everyone based on the tutorial that they are taking.
