You can get a version of blender at Graphicall.org (any version above revision 27733)

There is still some precision issue on the color wheels, I guess some day it will be possible to move the color picker slower.

  1. As a VFX Pro and Compositor who happens to use Magic Bullet every now and then (ever so slightly because you always want to be original :)), I think I am stunned...

the old color picker was MUCH better IMO. it's so annoying to get white, either move the left bar to black, then all the way up to white, of manually move/edit the rgb/hsv/hex values.

i think if you want a "color wheel", go with the one with a triangle in the middle of a ring. or stick with the common GIMP/photoshop/image editor style. or better yet: like gimp does, let the user choose :D

  3. I like the way the interface for Final Cut Pro's Three-Way Color Corrector plugin works -- clicking and dragging the color wheel moves the selection slowly; hold a modifier key to move quickly. Maybe that sort of behavior could be implemented here?

  4. yes, tidbit is right: the wheel is not very handy or precise. The choise of the color picker should belong to the user.

  5. Thanks for the update! Nice feature, and seeing as this is all still in Alpha I hope the considerations above are taken into account and maybe tweaked. But some really nice work there François!

  6. You guys are totally missing the point, especially @tidbit. This tool isn't for choosing colors, it's for doing color correction.

Way to go, Matt. Please keep working on this. It brings Blender all that much closer to becoming, not only the best FOSS 3d content creation tool, but also the best FOSS video editor.

  7. Blender compositing node is getting so powerful! Oneday there will be no need to use adobe aftereffects. Waiting for that beautiful day.

  8. Works Awesome! Not sure what all these critiques are talking about. I kinda agree with pixelnate, you guys missed the point! I mean, this looks and behaves just like other color correction tools in different video editors like Final Cut or Edius! Sweet!
