Andrew Price (BlenderGuru) has turned the presentation he gave at the Blender Conference into a 30-minute videotutorial.
Andrew Price wrote:
The tutorial will teach you everything you need to know about the smoke simulator from a beginners perspective.
During the 27-minute video you will learn:
- The Old System Vs New - What's changed?
- How the Smoke Simulator works
- How to bake and render realistic smoke
- A behind the scenes look at creating a smoking city
Thanks for putting this together..
Priceless example of the new smoke thank you Andrew!
Bookmarked, great work !
New-York City is amazing..and very nice song !
I don't get it to work with the newest build, the smoke just stays on the bottom of the domain...
Awesome and well executed! Thanks
Blender 2.5 crashes as soon as I click the domain button for smoke.
Nothing better than a paper, i mean a written tutorial! Videos are slow and quite useless.
@Gallifrey77203, get the latest build from Graphicall.
@pfannkuchen_gesicht, the smoke staying at the bottom of the domain might be because of the gravity turned on and the emitter too close to the bottom of domain
Great tutorial! Thanks Andrew. I will watch it a few more times.
Cool tutorial! Thank you!
very well done! thx Andrew!
Nice content and very well presented; I also like the "self-cam"; provides some personalization ;)
