Hi Blender Nation! It's Paul Caggegi here, again, with another tutorial on poly-modeling a human figure.

This is the 3rd in a series I am working on, taking a character from initial concept to completed render, but the first in this process which deals specifically with blender. Many have written to me to make a more comprehensive tutorial, so I've endeavored to do so here. I've also made this available via a link om the blog in various sizes, one of which is HD, for better quality viewing.

More tutorials shall be following on a regular, monthly release.

Cheers, folks!

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

I really enjoy every episode of the process diary, the audiocasts with the artist and feedback episodes are great fun too.
Anyhow worth checking out for everyone that wants to learn about character modelling and use of blender in general since it often has nifty hints on how to go about stuff.
    Thumbs up and best regards!

  5. Thanks again Paul. I really like the way you present these tutorials. I especially like the style that you have with your drawings of the muscular system on your characters.

  6. Well presented. Given an amateur the drive to use creative ideas and translate these into fantastic visuals, keep up the good work.
