SIGGRAPH 2010 Call for Submissions Important Announcements

Important Changes to Technical Papers Submission and Review Process

With the 19 January deadline for Technical Papers just over one week away, all Technical Papers authors should be aware of two important changes in this year’s submission process:

All submitters must complete the Submission and Authorization Agreement (formerly the Acceptance Agreement) before the Technical Papers submission deadline of 19 January 2010. Incomplete submissions will not be reviewed or accepted.

Resubmissions: Authors of previously submitted papers can now request that previous review materials (suitably anonymized reviews and BBS discussions), along with reviewers, be carried forward from past submissions to SIGGRAPH or SIGGRAPH Asia. In the past, each submission was considered independently, which in some cases led to authors getting very different feedback from year to year. The new process provides more consistent feedback.

Please note that SIGGRAPH cannot guarantee that reviewers from a previous submission will be assigned again. Review material is not required to be carried forward. All authors can still choose the independent resubmission process if they wish.
