@Intel on youtube: On the left screen he's actually rendering a BBB frame. You can see Blender in the background of the frame when it's finished rendering
when is the next blender beta is out? I wonder..
its great that these companies uses ED and BBB it would also be cool, because the clearly use them because of the favorable license, if the would chip in with the current Sintel project some have but I guess the more the merrier. It is a 4k movie I am sure some of them would be interested in demoing some of their tech with such a movie.
I just wish some of the shops here would catch on. These guys sell HD screens and at times run content that is standard definition I usually just shake me head. Because they could like the majority of software companies that use BBB or ED show those in HD esp BBB to really show off there screens.
Many thanks to the person who sighted my iPhone App - GotDice?.
I have been a long time Blender user and supporter since the Orange project. So naturally I used Blender to create the models and environment assets used in "Got Dice?".
Being able to use high quality assets such as those of BBB in my "commercial" application is just amazing.
Many thanks also to the Blender community for being so great!
I just wanted every one to know that blender was seen in the movie Blind Side it is a wonderful thing to see such things.
Was thinking about blender sightings when I read an article on making a linux renderfarm in the Feb 2008 version of APC magazine. In it there were some screenshots of blender...
Can't wait 'til sightings of Durian start showing off the hardware capabilities of some random gadgets. Way to go BF.
Have not seen "Blind Side", but where is Blender in the movie? Was it used to make the movie or does it make a star appearance onscreen?
Lancer:
I am not sure if it was used in the making of the movie but for sure it was on one of the scenes in the movie I think it was when Big Mike recruitment video was being watched by colleges that wanted him. You have to see the movie you can't miss it the blender application that is on the computer. check it out.

Let's say I had a Blender sighting, where could I submit it? =)
@ Senshi: I would say: if you have a sighting right here right now you could do it in this tread, but normally the "submit news" link in the banner will do. Bart will collect those sightings and then publish them at regular times.
Thanks Jeroen, I never even noticed the links in the banner xD
My sighting is probably old news anyway, but here it is:
