I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. Does anyone feel like a stockholder in a company ?

    #####more seriously######

    About this part :
What is it about? Using C and Python to make Blender tick?
Newdevs means new developpers have mostly a C and Python background?

Does it means we are heading toward a more pythonic development?
Making it easier for people coding Python scripts to add it to the source code if it is deemed interesting? (and potentially increasing the number of potential developpers?)

    2. Talking about C codebase or Python?

    - majority wanted C, some C/python,

    - ideasman42 and theeth agreed that:
    - C/Python is very vague and it depends very much on where developers are
interested in working, what problems they try to solve
    - also, in 2.5, it's not as clear cut as it used to be

    - ideasman42 asked if newdevs are more o C or python:
    - most are python/C or python with some basic C
    - one said to be C/C++

    #####less seriously######

I vote to extend the current Director's term of office.
