The Blender Foundation have secured additional funding for the production of Durian in the form of a large grant of the Netherlands Film Fund. The impact is huge: "... This will allow us to extend the project with three months (end of june), cover up for much needed expenses (like voice actors, hardware, PR) and most likely even extra team members!..". Congratulations guys! Now put down the champagne and get back to work!

Great news. I'm especially happy that the team will have extra time, even though it also means that we'll have to wait longer to see the result.

Nice, glad to hear Durian is getting the support it deserves, to make it the BEST open movie project ever.

Back to work - good idea, but where are the keys of the strech-limo???
Great news by the way!

That's really cool. I don't mind waiting longer if it means they can up the quality. Awesome :)
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!
Congrats Ton. Great work.
(and of course to be a little selfish - MOOOORE new features coming for us users ;)
Out of the three of Time, money and resource it's always good to have an increase in any one of them, must have been significant enough funding if it's able to allow an extra team to come on board! :)
Congrats!
I had a dream that the movie came out and it was awesome!!!
It must be a sign.
Well, be prepared for a double whammy then. Because if Durian goes well into june, that means that development could coincide with GSOC.
Good news. That would improve overall quality of the film.
yeeeesssss!!!!
this is a great news! more time on durian = more time on 2.5/6 development!!
thankyou Netherlands!
