Blender users in Osaka, Japan, came together last week. Here's a quick report by Tony Mullen.

Here are some snaps from the Osaka Blender party on Nov 7th. Unfortunately, I didn't get around to announcing it on Blendernation in advance, but it was announced on various Japanese websites and was quite well attended. Yamyam, Nanmo, Shige, and I all gave brief talks about our latest Blender work. Everybody had a good time talking Blender, eating food, and drinking.
The pictures are from the lectures and the after-party.

AH, I can't wait to go to Japan. It looked like they were working on some cel-shaded characters too, I wasn't aware you could that in Blender

cell shaded! like The Legend of Zelda - The Wind Waker! :-D
I had a laugh at the guy over the back raising his arms in triumph - but with a dead-pan expression on his face! And the guy with the little card. =D
Looks like a good bunch of guys. I'd love to get to Japan some day.
Wow! Yamyam, still exists! Nice to hear from you guys!
Must be 3dsmax by day and Blender by night users with the cards hiding their faces.
Wow!! Tony, thanks for the post.
Actually, I forgot to mention a big thank you to Manda and Daywalker for organizing the whole event. They did a lot of work to get it together! ãŠç–²ã‚Œæ§˜ã§ã—ãŸï¼
