There will be a free Multimedia Workshop about Gimp, Inkscape and Blender 2.5
in Munich, Germany. This workshop on Friday, 2009-11-13 is for beginners and people who're using other (commercial) software and want to switch to OpenSource. You can learn something about creating logos in Inkscape, manipulating images in Gimp and creating fluid simulations, special effects (compositing) and much more in blender 2.5.
