Here's a very professional looking Pistol model made by Padfoot7726 over at Blenderartists.org. Its a great example of realtime art and the level of graphics possible with the Blender Game Engine these days.

A simple Pistol, made low poly, for the Blender Game Engine, with GLSL graphics. Uses a color, normal, specular, occlusion, hdr reflection, and tiled normal maps.
You can watch a neat video on youtube or check out more images on the thread on BA.

WOW!!!!!!!!
I was a bit surprised how low-poly it actually was. Nice job. :)
Impressvive!
I think I see bmesh there, isn't it? :) cool stuff
Win!
Wow. I second TMT. That was very low poly.
Does look very nice. I imagine if you moved the camera any other way than in and out (such that the viewing angle changed) it would be more apparent it is low poly.
Edit: Well, just saw the rotation video on the BA forum and I have to take that back. Still looks good.
wow, this is link to awsome car in blender

simply great!!!
nice texturing,
modelling and UV mapping needs a lot of work though.
That is awesome, My only problem is that the tip looks bent. How would a bullet get through straight?
Edit: I see, It's mainly the angle that makes it look that way...
Fantastic work!
Yep! Very quality in this low-poly model...
nice!
Uhh. There are a lot of people ranting at it. Their arguments seems valid like, the wire frame and the still does not match up and the suspicious still only form of the video. Could anyone verify the credibility of the model?
The texture work is solid and good, the model not so that's one lumpy a** gun. It makes the metal work look beaten like something you would get if you hammered out metal on an anvil and shaped it into a gun not the smoothed out machined look of most guns out there.
My question is how is this news worthy? there tons of beautiful low poly models in the gallery already at blenderartists. I don't see any other artists getting punts just for models.
anyone knows what's the music in this video?
Looks amazing.
It would be great to see a video of this in motion... in the game engine. Stills always look great. Real test is seeing it motion. Even a turn table.
