The New York City Blender User's Group is holding a meeting at NYU Polytechnic University, Brooklyn, on Saturday September 12th, 2009 at 2 pm in Roger's Hall. (Just go there and look for the signs for which room)
Directions: http://www.poly.edu/directions
The format of the meeting will be 1 hour of short presentations for anyone who is interested in speaking, followed by an informal "hack meeting". I plan to give a short update on the work I've been doing on the Blender Game
Engine and Pure Data http://www.puredata.org in support of free improv art/music. See http://www.porcaro.org/blendnik.html for more information.
Hope to see you there!

Oh man! This Blendnik development just makes me so happy to hear!
If I was a programmer (who knows, maybe someday?) this is the type of stuff I'd love to work on most with regard to Blender... I will definitely be keeping an eye on this project. Thanks so much for sharing.
May the meeting on Sept.12 go well.
Cheers!
^^ damn, I was in NY like... last week...
Hope tey have fun (and of course learn things) during this meeting.
Congratulations for starting your New York Blender Users Group. We are enjoying our get togethers here in NE Tennessee with the Tri Cities Blender Users Group, and I encourage others to start similar groups in your own areas. (BTW our next meeting is the next day after yours, Sunday September 13, 2pm to 4pm Room 313, Renaissance Center, Kingsport, TN.)
Do you know where can i get info on Blender users groups in California?
