Karan Shah has created an excellant 96 step mega architectural tutorial on CG Tuts . "You will go through all the motions necessary to construct a complete, photo-realistic kitchen scene in Blender, and then render it with Yafaray (a free ray tracing, open source rendering engine)."

I am so looking forward to checking this tutorial out. And to think I had to by a previs book , I should of waited for this.
And there are other great turorials on the link page for other software too.
Thank you for the tutorial and tips.
A very good tutorial. Explained in detailed steps. He is Using Duplication Trick(may be the good way. Sorry I don't know but good trick)
I already saved it for OFF-Line Reference.
Is Yafray still integrated in the blender (sorry for asking such stupid Question, while being a Blender fan) Its been so long I used Blender. I Even don't Have Internet.
This is not photo-realistic.
@Agent Me too think so.... Its not photorealistic.... I can have a better opinion with larger image....
Whoah, CGTuts has Blender tutorials? I thought it was every other 3d app. Awesome.
Excellent tutorial. Now if there only was a 64bit Windows build of Yafaray..
By the way, I'd like to see if someone could come up with similar results using Blender internal engine. If I understood correctly, by using ambient occlusion and other tricks the internal can do, you can do pretty nice architectural images without using external renderers.
This is a very good tutorial.
I would suggest making this available as a PDF.
great tutorial, very detailed but still easy to work along,
i bet it's been quite some work to make up all the single steps and get em into one cohesive tutorial!
Thx for puttin this on the net, it'S a great one to get one started with those kind of interior architecture scenes:)..result looks great btw
How about trying to render it with LuxRender? Should be even more photo-realistic.
I prefer the image in step 95 to the finished one. :-) Still noisy though.
Also wouldn't an area light the size of the window tight to and parallel to the window be better than a sunlight? You could improve quality being more efficient with the same number of photons?
It would be nice to have the final in a higher resolution.
I think it's bad because there are grainy render fragments!!
Modelling is one side of the medal; the other is to render it in the best way!!
Yes,this site very nice kind open for blender user. I see all of their blender tutorial.Learn more and want more too. My idea is what about Blender & AE tutorial?
YES!! This is perfect for my needs!! Thank you!
I can't get step 17 to work. Shift-F and Alt-J don't seem to have any effect. Anyone?
Yes,this site (CGTuts) very nice for blender.I learn all their blender tutorial.I want to see Blender & AE TV motion graphic tutorial.C4D present this part very much I don't know how to applied to blender.
nice tutorial! also, it gets you to play with yafaray's settings. playing with the settings more can give you pretty realistic results. thanks for this one.
I agree with nemesis that this should be in pdf. This is a good tutorial.
Question: How do I perform the last step on this image?
Just rotating wont work because then the height decreases.
select the 2 bottom verticies of the small box wich point outwards, and grab em out with g-key,
then select the 2 verticies wich were above the 1st ones and grab em out aswell so they form a nice diagonal line together like in the image,
Yafrey has elvolved into Yafarey after much changes were made. (Notice, the extra letter "a" in the new version...) In answer to your question, the latest version is compatible with blender. I suspect, it always will be since the rendering program evolved around its use in Blender.
You can find the latest version of Yafarey at http://www.yafarey.org

I apologize for my mistake.
Thanks for the new Y A F (A) R A Y (A- Noted) Link.
