Blender made Entry for Linux-themed Contest

9

georgeGeorg Wieser aka Hoverkraft recently entered a Linux-themed contest titled "What do you do with Linux?".

My video is entirely done with Blender. Now it has entered the final round together with two other entries. As I am a freelancer and Blender really benefits my workflow I would like to see it's development pushed.  You can find more information in this thread

Here you can see all of the videos including Georg's and vote for your favorite.

  1. the video is titled "Animate!" for those like me who had trouble finding it..
nice entry and that competition looks like a great way to promote linux

  2. the video "got the facts" has the same (ideea) typography animation like the "Animate!" movie...

    someone inspired from another? :D

  3. Paulica, yeah, but "got the facts" didn't post it on blendernation, so we all know who I'm trained to vote for.

  4. I got trouble with the ice-blue color of the text, is hard to read... and i think this could be better...

Got the facts is a good one, a lot of motion graphic... will be interesting to know what open source the autor use for that... or if use a propietary one... (maybe that is not to fare)

  5. The "Got the facts video" was posted more than two weeks after my entry. I am 100% sure that the app used is Aftereffects. And I am 99% sure that the author is a fan of the video-copilot website :-)
