Here's Martin 'theeth' Poirier's presentation on Blender 2.5 development during the Libre Graphics Meeting 2009. 35 minute video, well worth watching. Enjoy!

Interesting, thanks! :)
Wow Thanks! That was very interesting and informative stuff. I wish we could stay and hear about Project Durian also. ;)
Interesting, there was a mention of Common Lisp in the video, has anyone got any more information on this, is there any intent on supporting languages besides python? Personally I hope so because I hate python's syntax, but am somewhat of a Lisp fan :).
Oh, so he's the guy with the cool avatar :D
Nice presentation!
I haven't watched this yet, but I'm glad blender isn't stalled like so many OSS projects do :)
@Hess
I think support for other langs is a big thing too :) I want to see a blender that supports langs more easily than any other 3D package. Just plug support into a "blender library" and go from there :).
great news, :)
Re: Other languages, we discussed this on the developers mailing list, a lot of people put their 2c in but I think the outcome was that no other languages besides python would be supported, same was agreed on by most people on blenderartist.
Its 4:20am, take that Theeth! (Great talk btw :) )
Anyone actually managing to watch this? Furthest Ive managed to get in the stream is 2mins, and the downloads timeout as well.
I've seen it right until the last word :) and I liked it allot! Big thanks to everyone that made it possible for us to see it.
Change Blender Python to Delphi .
@Lucas da Costa Dantas
No. Change Blender Python to Basic
Great video, thanks for posting it Bart. I thought theeth did great on the presentation. I have a question, can anyone hear what he says, starting around 31:37? He's speaking about etch-a-ton and Siggraph. He said something about: It's so flashy that Siggraph ......... ????????????????
Sorry to be a bit negative
it is not the presentation, it is the sound recording. It is very difficult at times to make out what is being said.
Is a transcipt available?
