2

interview-jonathan-williamsonCG Cookie has published an interview that gives some great info on the background of Jonathan Williamson.

Wes Burke from CG Cookie writes:

CG Cookie was fortunate enough to spend some time with Jonathan Williamson.

Jonathan has been very active in the blender community over the years: he helped organize and present two blender conferences in Montreal, one blender conference in New York, and returned two consecutive years to North Carolina to teach alongside fellow Blender-artists at a Summer camp for junior-high students hosted by Red Hat Linux.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. I love this interview. Spotted it a few hours back.

Love the part about usually only getting 5 hours sleep and eating eggs as the sole breakfast item. I'm in the exact same boat! But I'm running out of methods for cooking them. Fried-scrambled-boiled -> repeat :/

You've got great talen Jonathan, keep up your great contributions.
