Class 2 with Jonathan Williamson

3

shapeimage_5_class2_0305091Jonathan Williamson (Mr. Bomb/shadowdragon) of Montage Studio will be teaching his second live 3-hour class (in the series of 3 classes,) continuing on the character model he blocked out in the first lesson. Once again the live class will be held at Blenducation. The class starts Saturday, March 7, with an entry fee of $20 (USD) for the class.

In this second class Williamson will be teaching:

  • Adding details to the basic model from the first lesson
  • Modeling a sword
  • Cloth simulation
  • Simple skin shader
  • Leather material
  • Cloth material

From the Blenducation website:

For those of you that sign up for all three classes, you will be entered in a contest to be announced via email. We will give you a hint thoughÂ…what has 1500 polys and can get you a FREE seat in one of Jonathan's up coming classes?

There are only 40 seats open (29 seats now,) so don't miss this opportunity to attend the second class by one of the top Blender modelers! One advantage of attending a live class is that you can ask questions during the class. Go ahead and sign up now!

NOTE: A recording of each class will be available for $15 (USD.) Those who attend the class will be able to access the video recordings of the class for free.  If you feel abashed and sad that you missed the last class, you can buy the recordings for $15 (USD.) See here for details.

And a congratulations...

Remember that Blenducation particle hair animation contest I told you about in an earlier article? Well, the voting has taken place and we have a winner! The prize goes to Curtis Drent (curtisd85)! Good job, Curtis! A big thanks to everyone who voted!

  1. I highly recommend attending the class. Williamson is an excellent teacher and balances the load between instruction and student interaction nicely. It's worth the $20 easily.

  2. @Curtis: Ah, you are welcome. :) Too bad I missed the class, tho. Oh well, I'll just have to review the video :D Thanks for the class, Jonathan!
