Design our holiday season header!

48

We're getting ready for Christmas and New Year here at BlenderNation and of course, we'll need an appropriate header graphic during that time. Would you like to see your work here for a week? The deadline for submission is Wednesday, december 24th, 6pm (GMT+1). Good luck!

To submit your work, post a link to it in a comment below. Here are some guidelines:

  • only submit complete, 'ready to use' headers.
  • use the correct format (700×100 pixels). (size updated)
  • use the correct background color (#3388cc).
  • don't use the left-side of the image (as the BlenderNation text and menu will be there).
  • please add your own name to the far right in a font like Arial or Helvetica.

Extra hints:

  • always make sure that your image has a gradient to the background color (#3388cc) at the left; the header has a 'fluid' design meaning that if the page is wider than 700 pixels, extra blue will be added to the left. If you don't use a gradient, this will show as a discontinuity in the background color.
  • again, use the correct background color.
  • don't put any text at the bottom of your image; our menu will be printed over it.

Have fun!

  1. Should the design be related to Christmas? or we can use general designs like the previous contest?

Because we don't celebrate Christmas here :)

  2. New Year is fine too :) General headers can be submitted too, but these will be considered separately - not for the holiday season banner.

    Thanks!

  3. Hi, Here is a banner in two formats :

I planned to release a short video to turn you TV sets into an open fire for Christmas, but I fear that it will not be complete in time because of repeated render chrashes. A shorter version is downloadable though...

The banner is mad of one of the images of the scene.

I wish a Merry Christmas and a happy new year to everybody. Yes, already !

    Philippe.

  4. I just noticed that you will have to manually add the "banner.jpg" to the end of the link with a space between the words "christmas" and "banner".

  5. Looking great guys!
I'd have to say my personal favorites are the papNoel.jpg one and the 2e4b3th.jpg(gingerbread man in the tree) one
    Good luck everyone!!!
