For those keeping track of Blender books around the world, I thought some might be interested to know that my book "Bounce, Tumble, and Splash! Simulating the Physical World with Blender 3D" has just been released in Japanese. Hopefully this will encourage Japanese users to get more familiar with the physics and other simulation tools available in Blender.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. Great..

I have your book. It is great and I am using it to make some models and animations.

I hope Japanese people find it as useful as I have.

    Keep up the great work.

  2. Interesting piece of news. The Japanese Blender community has certainly been receiving more attention on this site recently. Now if only I could get the book in English.
