wtf..............cool!
AHHHH..and congratulations to Colin Levy from peerlessproductions.com! lucky boy ;-)
Hey! That's Colin Levy's Snurgle creature! Awesome!
Damn, Blender's taking over the world, LMAO. This is awesome.
They've been doing this for a while. It's great to see it being used to show how awesome a computer can be. Here is another Blender on HP story from Apr 2007.

heh - nice.
Let's not get too excited for more people coming to the Blender side. Unnamed screenshots of unknown programs don't help with the marketing of Blender much :)
But cool none-the-less!
you know
whatever they say for the computer can be said for blender too.
i think we have a fan in hp :)
Hehe... "the Snurgle. a new species created by Colin Levy" sais the picture

I think we all knew that Blender would take over the world at some point.
Can't wait for the next Hollywood film VFX to be made using Blender and YafRay.
Awesome! You can even spot Suzanne in the materials preview.
hey! in the intro, that's... blender!
HP is teh real BLENDER BOY!
@BlenderLovingSquirrel: did you see the new T-shirt that Macouno made? ;-)

That is crazy awesome! No way! It's about time Blender got that kind of recognition... but seriously... right on the front of the intro... crazy sweet...
Colin Levy has gotta be flippin' out right now, or when he sees this... I would be for sure! Rock on, Colin!
The comments remind me of a little joke when ubuntu first shipped on Dell computers as the default OS.
They showed Desktop and laptop banners saying "Ubuntu by the popular demand", but the stickers on the cases were showing "Windows XP"
They were flamed XD
Great! But isn't this copyright infringement if HP used his artwork without permission? I would be fuming mad if they used something of mine without permission.

A bit minimalistic, isn't it?
@IceWeasel: We don't need no bloat! ;)
Hi,
I'm really glad to see blender in advertisement, it's good news... But I only wonder if they have the right to use his job, was it CC image they use? I'm not a finest law-knower, just wonder if every thing is clean and clear...
@roofoo, I think that stuff is from the Blender wiki, hence open content.
@BlenderLovingSquirrel & Bart
Good lord it's catching on already!
That is really awesome. One thing I wonder, however, is when it will stop being awesome. I mean, nobody would blink and eye if that was one of the other popular 3D studios. When will Blender reach that point?

But...Colin Levi did his on a mac...!!!!
Great. Now if only I could use it on my HP Laptop (Compaq 6910p). All the text entry into the UI is broken.
I saw this in a PCPhoto Magaziner as well, but never got around to submitting the news. Hp LOVES Blender!
that's cool... :D!!!

@NathanKP: interesting point - maybe we are too fanatic. lol. ;)
Eww, what a horrible screenshot!
that's great that blender is getting friends in every nook and cranny of various disciplines and industries! rock on!
jin
I was thinking the same thing NathanKP.
It's nice to be made aware of new blender sightings, but it's kinda embarassing when it hits the front blender news page and everyone squeels :S
ha haaa...
thats funny cos as far as i know...
Colin made that on a MAC...:P
@Banor
Yeah, if we just accept the fact of Blender's greatness then it won't surprise us to see it used on ads, etc. :)

Heh, trust Blender to look cool when you want to present something ;)
We had some newspaper guys coming over to interview us so we had to look smart and all technical. Simple, stuff Blender on the projector with lots of split views and highly technical looking IPO curves and wireframes. Oooh.
