The Blender Conference 2008 has kicked off. Here's the live stream (VLC link)!
Update: Kaveh wrote "I am broadcasting a second feed of just the screen, which is more readable. It is here: http://www.river-valley.tv. It is experimental but seems to be working. In addition, we'll be uploading higher resolution recordings as the postprocessing is done."

is..it.. LIVE? :O Wow. !
Aw, this is so awesome! I'm watching right now and even though I have no idea what they're talking about, this is just too cool!
Here is another stream I am doing, of just the screen and sound:

You can't see speaker, but you can read screen better. It is experimental, so sorry if it breaks.
He he, funny thing right now. The Madame in White lost her application (PowerPoint presentation?) and a guy from left tried to guide her on Windows desktop an menus to find the application again... :D
This is what I understood from images because I have no sound (my system fault.)
Or she had difficulties in finding Blender App. (trying to run it)?
@ Kaveh thanks that really help
Thank you! I found myself applauding the Biologist's presentation on using Blender to model proteins inside the cell. Next best thing to being there!
the Biologist's presentation
Dang, sorry I missed that one. This stream is great, thank you whoever!
If you missed it you will be able to see higher res version on the same site soon. ;-)
I really hope the video come out after Conference coz I have work to do.
thank you all.
Is it still possible to go to the conference?
Can you even still view this conference online, much less still go to it?
Yeah, I'm watching it right now at 6:12 AM my time. XD I had to miss the "Life After Plumiferos" thing, because otherwise I'd only get 3 hours of sleep. :'(
Hm... I have no sound with totem (gstreamer) or vlc. Is there a stream which uses open standards?
first link doesnt work , probably mac only protocol.
Thanks alot for putting this stuff up for those of us who can't attend.
