Well the folks at Dragons Tale are at it again. They've posted a very funny promo for the "Elephants of Norwich, UK."
"About a month back you posted some virals we produced with Blender. We got so much feed back and loads of daft Ideas (right up our street) when we looked at producing the final viral for the auction, we put a load of the Ideas together and came up with this
With the exception of the tracking, the whole thing was produced in blender (2.46 and 47) This one was a tad more adventurous, and caused a few problems, like tracking, but as my partner in crime is a genius and both our girlfriends are saints, fab, amazing and wonderful, it got sorted.
Long and short of it is, the motion blur, lens fx, cam shake, comp and all that fun stuff was done in Blender, except the tracking. God I hate tracking.
Any way hope you like it.
All the best
James

That was really funny!
Hehe, it is so funny.
I re-watched a couple of times
Great video!!
btw, it's only me or the final running looks too much as a walkcycle?
It lives!
great job.
The elephant looks funny with its legs way out out to the side...
Very nice!
It seems that when the elephant runs over the street the shadows are gone and so is the realism. But until that point, perfect :)
There's a missing "http://" in the href attribute of the first link (the "Dragons Tale" one in the first line of the article text).
Nevertheless, i prefer the first three videos - which i must have missed when they were introduced here first. Good that i came across them at this occasion...
quiss42, Thanks for the catch. Fixed it
Well done, and funny. Good job... and good tracking !
Animation could do with some work, as well as adding some shadows when it runs across the road.
But other than that I loved it! Especially the beginning :)
Exept for some parts of the animation (mostly the running in the end) the movie was very well executed. Like how they turned the elephant live.
Also as redbyte said it could use some more shadow in the end. :)
Nice one...
This is even better than the first movies. The effects were very well done, but the elephants movement is a little bit ridiculous.
